Category Manager, Commercial Indirects CZ/SK

The Category Manager Commercial will have an operational/supply risk focus and will be responsible for managing all commercial categories of intermediate to higher complexity within their country. This will include using strategic sourcing principles such as spend analysis, RFX, reverse auctions, contract management, negotiations and supplier management.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Managing commercial categories of intermediate to higher complexity (such as marketing services, creative agencies, POS material, merchandising, commercial CAPEX, media and digital services, technical equipment/instalations for our customers) . *Leads all negotiations as related to these categories. Must understand country/ business priorities and needs. Ensure contract compliance once agreement is signed.
  • Managing local/regional suppliers, including scorecarding and actively monitoring KPI's. Responsible for continuous identifying of risks and opportunities associated with commercial categories and assessing them for potential actions. Will be managing a large number of supplier relationships - 100 to 250.
  • Maintaining predefined and cascaded cost savings target on yearly level. Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities on a country level
  • Managing stakeholders within their country and respective categories (marketing, sales, commercial excellence). Must be able to act as a business partner with internal stakeholders aligning on company priorities and needs. Stakeholders can be at the country leadership level.
  • Responsible for managing category annual operation planning cycle including supporting local teams with their own budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Min 4 years of relevant work experience in procurement/ category management for commercial indirects (ideally for FMCG company)
  • Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills.
  • Contract management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience.
  • Broad based experience in multinational category management and working within international teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
